Unemployment benefits for the self-employed

Rule

The self-employed are not entitled to regular unemployment benefits. The unemployment branch only applies to employees.

A self-employed person who has closed a business can register with the employment bureau as a job seeker and receive unemployment benefits if he previously worked as an employee and meets the conditions.
