Interest

Interest from bank deposits and bonds is taxed at 25% (nominal interest from non-linked deposits) or 25% on real interest + 15% on linkage differentials (for CPI-linked instruments). An exemption ceiling of ~₪8,400/year applies to interest from non-linked shekel deposits.

Dividends

Dividends are taxed at 25% (30% for substantial shareholders). Dividends between Israeli companies are exempt. Foreign dividends are taxed at 25% with a credit for foreign withholding tax.

Royalties

Royalties from intellectual property are generally taxed as business income at marginal rates (if the creator's primary activity) or at 25% if received by a passive holder. Withholding tax of 20%–30% applies at source.
